You know how sometimes things that start out bad end up pretty good? We spent the better part of the day mourning the fate of Cheverly Swim & Racquet Club's Adult Night and, by extension, our night of 1,000 bad ideas. Things seemed to be following the weather (severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, the sort of weather that really ruins a perfectly good day) until just a few hours ago...Here's the good news: Soul Revolver will perform Saturday night at the historic Surf Club on Kenilworth Avenue. And the show is only $5, quite a deal these days (so if you had planned to attend Adult Night and pay the $25-35 cover, that means alot of leftover cash for you to hand over to the bartender.) The catch? It's a firm 7:00pm start because the managers were kind enough to rearrange the evening's schedule on very short notice and it's Ladies' Night. So if you want to dance to great live music by Cheverly's very own Beatles cover band (and they do ROCK), show up at 7:00pm Saturday night (maybe don't wear your swimsuit though). Then if the mood strikes, stay for the Ladies' Night DJ. I assume they won't kick out you fellas, but you may get some pretty intense requests to dance. Be warned, be early.
Oh -- I almost forgot...tip well and make sure to thank the smart people at Chick Hall's for throwing such an awesome show.
